Two architects, working across California and New York, saw an opportunity to connect scattered expertise into a clearer path forward.

A shared
challenge.

Although we worked in different regions of the country, we kept encountering the same challenge. Homeowners, architects, and developers were spending enormous amounts of time coordinating regulations, consultants, agencies, and project requirements before they could make confident decisions.

The problem wasn’t a lack of expertise. It was fragmentation—knowledge scattered across countless people, documents, and systems.

We believed AI could connect those pieces into a clearer path forward.

That belief became Archi AI.

Ana Zapata and Amina Bouayad, the architects behind Archi AI

Ana Zapata, AIA

Ana is a California-licensed architect with more than 16 years of experience designing residential and commercial projects. Her background includes design, permitting, consultant coordination, and guiding complex projects from early ideas through approvals.

She combines architecture, computational design, AI, and digital tools to make building decisions clearer and more accessible. Her work explores how emerging technology can support better collaboration while preserving the human judgment at the center of design.

New York

Amina Bouayad, RA

Amina is a New York-registered architect with experience spanning design, planning, residential projects, and urban environments. Her international path—from Fès to studies in Paris and Naples, followed by practice in New York—shapes her understanding of culture, regulation, and belonging.

Her work includes residential buildings, renovations, and complex urban projects. She brings a thoughtful perspective on architecture’s role in shaping cities and creating collaborative, livable communities for the people who call them home.

Together, Ana and Amina bring perspectives from two of the country’s most demanding building environments while sharing a common goal: making the process of building more understandable, accessible, and collaborative.
