Hybrid Ensambles

This project started by creating a digital catalog of material characteristics found in nature, like the networks made by the veins of a leaf, the porosity of a rock and the different color gradients in a mushroom.

Through this process I was able to engaged in the philosophical concept of Gram Harman where objects seem to display different characteristics at different times.  A combination of digital and analog techniques of design and fabrication were developed and  this then allowed me to reconstitute each object as a series of modifications that went from image to object, and the result was a hybrid fusion of the physical and the digital.

We may unlock the unlimited powers within objects and expand on the notion of what is considered to be real or fictive by investigating the virtual dimension of materialism.
